Team Work can be better!

Teams fail because humans are complicated. When you put people together, you get trust issues, hidden tensions, and communication breakdowns. GECO helps you work through this.

The Painful Truth

  • Nobody wants to speak up when things get weird

  • Team members keep important info to themselves

  • People avoid conflicts until they blow up

  • Everyone pretends everything is fine (it's not)

  • One underperforming team member can drag down everyone's productivity by 25%.

How do you work together effectively?

Great teams facilitate effective group work using a set of exercises and practices. The GECO app helps you facilitate those in your team. That way you:

  • Ensure everyone's opinions are heard

  • Important information is shared

  • Confront issues early and often

  • Have a clear way to share when everything isn't fine

Our Story

Our research and interviews with rural communities has revealed that the creation and maintenance of open and accepting group dynamics represents a significant challenge.

"Our objective is to facilitate collaboration on energy projects in a way that is more accessible and appealing."

The project is funded by Energimyndigheten and includes project partners from Energicentrum Gotland and sustainability researchers from Uppsala University. The project application promised a design-thinking double diamond approach (discover, define, develop, deliver). Our goal is to help rural communities start and operate energy communities more effectively. An energy community is a group of people working together to accomplish an energy project. An energy project can be anything from organizing car-pooling for trips to town, and equipment sharing in the local, rural, community, to communally building and operating
a solar park.
But those challenges are not exclusive to energy communities. We believe anyone working together with others on projects benefits from facilitating their team's work more effectively. That is why we built the GECO app.
